The YGGY frame is crafted from ash wood, one of the strongest local species available.

Its design harmonizes nature’s flowing, organic lines with the mechanical optimization of shapes and sections: generous volumes where stiffness and strength are required, and thinner, more sculpted forms where flexibility is an asset and loads are reduced.

The result is a frame that’s as elegant as it is efficient, alive in both form and function.

YGGY isn’t just a bike—it’s an invitation to play. Agile, responsive, and built for speed, it’s made to follow your instincts on the trail. Whether you're climbing tight switchbacks or flowing through fast singletracks, YGGY responds with precision and confidence. With a geometry rooted in classic cross-country and trail riding, it finds the sweet spot between control and fun.

Outfitted with a suspension fork, dropper seatpost, 2.3" tires, and clipless pedals, the full build comes in around 12 kg, depending on size and configuration (±1 kg). The frame itself weighs just 2.6 kg—but don’t let the lightness fool you: this bike is made to be ridden hard. Available in sizes S, M, L, and XL, YGGY is ready for the kind of riding that leaves you smiling at the bottom of the trail.

Each YGGY frame is composed of 10 precisely CNC machined wooden elements, reinforced with carbon fiber inserts at the head tube, seatpost, and bottom bracket—key zones where strength matters most.

The seamless, precision-bonded joints are a hallmark of WOODALPS craftsmanship, ensuring exceptional durability over time.

Tested for more than a decade on mountain trails and in endurance races, YGGY frames have demonstrated unwavering reliability, even under the harshest conditions. Unlike aluminum or carbon frames, YGGY is immune to common failure points like fatigue cracks, weak welds, or impact damage to thin composites.

I have a very motivating relationship to my Yggy No.10. To follow every step of manufacturing of your own bike and finally doing the first ride is something very special. Within the last half year i did many rides on the bike. With its unique wooden frame I feel a close contact with the nature - especially at forest trails. And i can tell every future owner what Arnaud told me before: You will get many interested reactions and always the same 3 questions: 1) Does it hold? 2) How heavy is it? 3) What about contact with water? And I always give the same answers: Try out - enjoy - and you will love it! ;-)
